1 oz Great Migrations – Butterfly

This Silver coin is the second in the new series “Great Migrations”, that celebrates one of nature’s impressive wonders, when millions of animals start their great annual migration, featuring migrating Monarch Butterfy. The coin is colored, has a Proof quality and 1 Ounce weight. Will be packaged in an attractive case, with the Certificate of Authenticity. Limited mintage to 3.000 pcs worldwide.

The reverse of the coin features an engraved illustration of a flutter of Monarch butterflies, covering tree branches, ready to hibernate. A few Monarch butterflies are highlighted in colour, bringing further interest. On the right of the coin, the inscription: “1 Oz 999 FINE SILVER” (the weight and the fineness of the Silver). The obverse of the coin depicts the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. All around the inscriptions: “ELIZABETH II”, “NIUE” (issue country), “TWO DOLLARS” (face value), “2016” (year of issue).
