The design concept for the Colorized Dalgona Silver Honeycomb Umbrella Shaped Coin is based on a South Korean drama series that came to television in 2021. The show focuses on 456 contestants in a fictional game, each one attempting to survive a series of challenges to win 45.6 billion Won, or roughly $40 million (USD). Among the challenges the competitors must complete is removing the umbrella from the center of a Dalgona Honeybomb. This must be done in a certain amount of time and the shape cannot be broken in the process. Failure to complete the challenge will not only cost contestants a shot at the prize money, but will also cost them their lives.
